Eastern Dragons





There are several types of Eastern Dragons, but they are basically divided into four types:

    Tien-lung- celestial guardian, the only 5 clawed dragon. Supports the mansions of the gods. Fut-lung- treasure keepers, a subterranean dragon that has charge of all the jewels and metals buried in the earth. Each holds a huge pearl in its claw, that is said to multiply whatever it touches. (pearl=wisdom) Shen-lung- weathermakers, spiritual dragons that govern the wind, clouds and rain. Ti-lung- river lords. Earth dragons determined the course of rivers and regulate their flow and maintain their banks. Every river in China has its own earth dragon.

    some other types are: kiao-lung- scaled dragon ying-lung- winged dragon k'iu-lung- horned dragon, blue ch'i-lung- hornless dragon, red, white and green p'an-lung- earthbound dragon
