So you kinda sorta know dragons, but came here just to be sure? No problem.

What is a dragon classified as?
By what many people say about dragons, they are usually giant flying reptiles that are able to breathe fire and live in caves, guarding treasure. Of course, that is what the generic dragon is classified as. There are of course dragons that live around mountains, are aquatic (which may limit their fire abilities, but I wouldn't know), live in forests or jungles, ore even around sub-zero temperatured areas. Not all dragons have to guard treasure; some may roam the world to explore. Others may be pets to people.

What do dragons like to eat?
I wouldn't really know. That's up to you. The generic (meaning most commonly created) dragons like to eat anything with a pulse (so that means any living creature that functions with organs, skin, etc.). But for all we know, a dragon may thrive off of plants, or even bacteria in the air! The choice is up to you.

What are a dragon's habits?
Many old stories have dragons as fierce, merciless, destructive monsters that a hero of a story needs to slay for various reasons (the princess was taken, the dragon is wanting to destroy, etc.). But of course, there are always friendly or loyal dragons. Who can forget how friendly Norbert was to Hagrid in the first Harry Potter story?

What do dragons look like?
That, my friend, is impossible to describe. There are infinate ways a dragon can look. There's your average reptillian-looking dragon, but they can look like any animal there is, may it be a bird, a cat, or even a fish. What they look like are up to you.

Before you create a dragon, like it or not, it MUST have these traits to be called a dragon:

It has to have the ability to breathe fire, or at least some sort of element (may it be water, ice, etc.)

If your dragon doesn't breathe some sort of element, then give it wings

I know it sounds mean to demand that, but a dragon cannot be called one if it doesn't have the ability to breathe some out-of-the-ordinary element, regardless if they are fantasy creatures.

Also, I want to clear a problem that many complain about:
dragons do not have to absolutely have wings. People think dragons MUST have wings, but the truth is that you DON'T HAVE TO put wings on if you don't want to. Eastern dragons usually don't have wings, but they usually have a special ability and are reptillian. As long as it breathes fire or another element, it's a dragon! That's iwhy I put on the list above to put wings on if your dragon doesn't breathe an element.

I will go over other features you can add to your dragon, so browse the other topics I have to offer here at Draw Frenzy on dragons!
