Magic;
The practice of using charms, spells, or rituals to attempt to produce
supernatural effects or control events in nature along with the said
charms, spells, or
rituals
This is the definition of magic. In real life magic is portrayed
as a magician performing a "magic act," though in real life these
magicians do not use magic at all. They simply use tricks,
illosions or science to make it seem like magic has taken place.
In numerous fictional books the writer will use magic as a key role,
such as Harry Potter,
The Cronicles or Narnia,
A Series of Unfortunant Events,
Eragon, and
others. Most people believe that magic portrayed in the way
these books portray it is not real, that's why the book's fictional,
but some beleive magic does exist, maybe not to fictional standards,
but it still exists non the less. A common form of magic that
many people beleive in is a miracle. God uses magic to perform
miracles according to my standards. My definition of magic is
something that seems impossible and we do not understand. Althou,
according to this statement, plenty of things in nature are "magic."
Here are a few magic tricks I have
found.
The Floating Ring
Make some really
thick salt water. REALLY thick. soak a piece of thread in it somewhere
between 45 and 60 minutes. take it out and let it dry. Now you are
ready. Ask someone for a ring. Tie it to the end of the thread. Hold
the string so its like a pendulum. Now take a match and light the
string down by the ring. The string will burn but the salt crystals can
hold up a fairly light ring. An awesome magic effect.
Ice Baby magic trick
Effect
of magic trick
Pour
some water into a cup, blow on the cup and then turn it upside down
where out pops some ice cubes. You need a cup or glass that you can't
see through. You also need a small sponge and and some ice cubes.
Method
of magic trick
Prepare the cup by placing the
sponge into the bottom of the cup. Then, drop a few ice cubes on top of
the sponge and you're ready to go. To perform pour a small amount of
water (about an inch) into the cup. The sponge will absorb the water.
Blow into the cup, wave your hands over it and dump out the ice cubes.
If you are using a disposible plastic cup for the trick, just throw it
away at this time. Watch the look of surprise on your friends faces
with this magic performance.
