| David Stobbs B.A.F. is the Founder and Coach of the Dunes Fencing Club. Having started fencing in 1971 David qualified as a Coach with the British Academy of Fencing in 1994. He is now a British Fencing Association Level 4 Coach at all three weapons. He has coached his son, Jonathan Stobbs, to international level and is himself a competitive fencer. His best result of 2005 being to reach the finals of the Cambridge Open Air Tournament. 'Fencing is my passion, I love the traditions, at Dunes Fencing Club we try to maintain a balance between the traditional approach to fencing and using modern training techniques.' 'Although Dunes Fencing Club is a relatively young club, we set our standards high. We work hard to maintain a competitive yet friendly atmosphere where everyone is included.
