Golem

Classification:
Mid-level non-living creation

Other names:
"Stoneman"
"Rockhead"

Description:
Golems can only be created if suitable building materials are available, typically clay or stone. The size and density of a golem depends on what exactly it is made from.

Whatever is used, a golem is a more-or-less human-like creature. Facial features may or may not exist, but "eye" stones are always present on the "head." These are the weakest points of the creature.

Golems will fall down and crumble if the wizard controlling them is killed or incapacitated.

They are dimwitted, slow, cumbersome, easily confused, and usually deaf. A good tactic is to just avoid them. However . . .

They are rather hard to destroy. If even 1/3 of the golem is still connected, it will continue to function. The only way to "kill" a golem (while its wizard still lives) is to properly dismember it.

A golem will continue to function even if decapitated, although it will now be lumbering around blindly.
