High Golem

Classification:
High-level nonliving creation

Other names:
"Elemental Golem"

Description:
High Golems are taller and more human-like than regular golems. They are characteristic for the crystals on their head, shoulders, chin and sometimes joints and/or back. Their arms are longer than those of lesser golems, with the knuckles reaching their knees.
Unlike the lesser golems, they do not have "weak points" such as seeing stones. The most easily damaged points on their bodies, which is not saying much, are the crystals. While slow, lumbering, speechless and inherently stupid, they are dangerous because they have (limited) magic. There are four types of High Golems, each with its own unique magical powers: Fire (red), Air (white), Ice (blue; ice-related Water Magic) and Death (black).
All the High Golems use a basic spell launched in the form of a sphere-like burst from their mouths: Fire Golems have fireballs, Air have airbursts, Ice have ice shards and Death have necrosis-like attacks that decay organic matter.
High Golems will crumble and cease to function if their master wizard dies. Other than this, it is rather hard to defeat a High Golem. Destroying the crystals on their backs weakens their magic, however. A good idea is to simply just out-run or avoid them altogether.
