The Nike Shox running shoes have always been somewhat of a hit with the younger age group. However the steep initial retail prices of these kicks ensured a lucrative market for bootleggers to churn out cheaper alternatives.

The shoes used for comparison here are the Shox R4.

LEFT - REAL          RIGHT - FAKE
The Fakes are very well done, with only details that will only stand out with repeated comparisons. Slight variations in the heel shape and design details fool the casual looker into thinking it might be a random error from the manufacturing floor.

FAKE
The Fake shoe uses poor quality material for the suspension collumns, with a resemblance to something not unlike an industrial screw. The collumns will fall apart easily and the "screw-like" collumns has a tendency to injure the runner.

LEFT - REAL          RIGHT - FAKE
The comparison of shoe weights show the difference in matr=erial usage. The Real Shox weighs in at 400 grammes, while the Fake Shox weighs in slightly heavier at 500 grammes.

The insoles of the Fake DO NOT have the imprint, only showing a plain coloured insole.
