Tropical Storm Ana (45 kts)

Ana was the first tropical storm to form in the Atlantic Ocean during the month of April. It formed first as a subtropical storm, and slowly gained tropical characteristics as it moved eastward across the Atlantic. Ana passed just south of Bermuda, but never affected any land masses.


Tropical Storm Bill (55 kts)

Tropical Storm Bill formed suddenly on June 29th in the Central Gulf of Mexico and quickly moved northward toward the Louisiana Gulf Coast. The major threat from this storm was the heavy rainfall after the June 30th landfall, which brought localized flooding to portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle on June 30th and July 1st.


Tropical Storm Claudette (80 mph)

Claudette formed in the Carribean Sea and moved northwestward toward the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. After clipping the eastern tip of the Yucatan, Claudette moved into the Gulf of Mexico and strengthened into a category 1 hurricane before making landfall in Texas.


Tropical Storm Danny (45 kts)
