1976/1977
Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon wrote the music and lyrics of STARMANIA.
1978
A record of STARMANIA was released. It features Daniel Balavoine, Claude Dubois, Diane Dufresne, France Gall, René Joly, Fabienne Thibeault, Nanette Workman and Eric Esteve.
1979
Opening of STARMANIA at the Palais des Congrès de Paris with the performers who recorded the concept album. The show was directed by Tom O'Horgan.
1980/1981
STARMANIA was played in Montréal,and in Québec, in a production directed by Olivier Reichenbach featuring Louise Forestier as Marie-Jeanne.
1986/1987
New production in Québec with a new cast including Marie Carmen as Marie-Jeanne.
1988/1989 New direction of STARMANIA by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon. It is played at the Théâtre de Paris and at the Théâtre Marigny then. The cast includes Maurane, Wenta, Renaud Hantson, Sabrina Lory, Martine Saint Clair, Norman Groulx, Richard Groulx and Luc Lafitte.
1990
STARMANIA was played in Moscou and Saint Petersbourg.
1991
The German production of STARMANIA opened at the Opera of Essen. It was directed by Jürgen Schwalbe.
1992
The TYCOON concept album was released. It's the english version of STARMANIA written by Tim Rice. The album is supervised by Michel Berger and the performers are Kim Carnes, Peter Kingsbery, Céline Dion, Tom Jones, Nina Hagen, Willy de Ville, Kevin Robinson, Ronnie Spector, Cyndi Lauper, Matt and Luck Goss.
1993
A new production of STARMANIA directed by Lewis Furey opened at the Mogador Theatre in Paris. TYCOON was played on Friday evenings.
1994
The show won best musical show at the Victoires de la Musique ceremony. It's then a great success at the Theatre Mogador and in Canada.
1995
The show toured in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada. It reopened at the Palais des Congrès in Paris on October 20th and ran until December 31st. On October 26th, the production celebrated its 500th performance, which was seen by over 1 million  people.
1996
"Victoires de la Musique" for biggest number of people who has seen the show. It then went back to the Palais des Congrès from October 22nd 1996 until January 26th 1997 with Marie Carmen as Sadia.
1997
The show toured in the main cities of France, Belgium and Switzerland.
1998
20th anniversary of STARMANIA. The production directed by Lewis Furey came back at the Casino de Paris from October 29th 1998 until April 25th 1999 with a new performer as Marie-Jeanne : Joanne Labelle.
