the tree has evolved in my imagery to become an icon for life itself. mirroring the cycles of life, fertility, birth and death, the lusciousness of nature has always appealed to my feminine artistic side.
facinated by the patterns on a pebble, the veins in a decaying leaf, the life-rings in a piece of ancient wood, i have been entranced by nature since i was a child. the images that i'm influenced by spring from the world around us.
self-taught, i am continually exploring different media and techniques. vivid colours, mixed media, bold lines and organic influences make their way into my work.
viewing the world through copper-coloured glasses, i continue to explore what it is that makes me who i am, and use my instincts, my spirituallity and my desire to evolve as an artist.
