One of the things I looked forward to coming out of every winter, the rebirth, renewal that is spring. And with spring comes baseball. To be exact Class A ball, an hour from major league teams, but with talent even further. There I was by myself, my friend bailing at the last minute, but my love for the game was strong. As the game began I started talking to the guy next to me, I found out his name was Mark he was about my age there with his girlfriend Amy, "Nice to meet you" I said, "I'm Scott". After the game was over Amy elbowed him in the ribs and said "Ask him"!!!. He said they had a friend who was single and would I mind being setup with her. Now, I'm not exactly great with the ladies so nervously I went along and we exchanged email addresses and I would get more details later.

A few days later, I received my "blind date" email. The girl was game for this so we were going to meet at a Starbucks and have some coffee and talk, see if we clicked, if not we could walk away and get on with out lives. Mark was pretty short in his description of her, I knew her name was Sara, black hair, she was short, worked as a nurse, was easy going and laid back, which sounded great to me.

I spent the next few days occasionally wondering about Sara and what she was like. I didn't get nervous until I got out of my car and walked toward the front door at Starbucks. As I walked in there was no one in line, two tables to my left (one empty, one occupied by a man) to the right were three more tables, nosy teenagers nearest the door, an empty table and the last table a woman in her 20s, "Must be her" I thought. I approached the table and she was reading the newspaper, sensing someone close she looked up at me and smiled. "Are you Scott?" "Yes, and you must be Sara". She was an absolute cutie about 5-2, black hair pulled back in a ponytail, great brown eyes, a very light tan,  and a smile to die for. She stood up and gave me a light hug. I'll be honest I tried to get a sense of what she was like under her sweatshirt and sweatpants, but really couldn't. "Please sit down, did you want to get come coffee?" She was waiting for me to show before ordering. So we ordered and began to chat.

Minutes became hours as we learned about each other and had a great time doing so. Sara was 22, worked as a nurse at a local hospital, liked to hike and camp (as did I), loved to workout (which I assumed meant cardio and little 5 pound weights) and apologized for meeting me in her sweat which at this point I didn't care because I wanted to know HER. "So do you like baseball?" I asked her. Sara smiled, "I've seen it on tv before, but I've never been to a game or really know what's going on?". "Perfect chance" I thought. "How would you like to go to a game with me"? She pondered for a second then with a big grin "I'd love to go!! But you'll have to show me and teach me what's going on!!". I couldn't believe it this little cutie was actually interested in me and wanted to go to a game on top of it!!

We exchanged numbers and she looked at her watch, "I need to head over to my parents house to help them pack up for their move to a smaller house, empty nesters and all". Sara looked down at a muffin we had ordered but not touched, I looked down at it too, then up at her. "I'll armwrestle you for it" she said, again with that grin. I didn't really want it but figured I'd humor her anyway. "I really want you to try too, I'll know if you're not". I figured, "Sure why not". I'm only 6-1, 175, pretty slim, but Sara was only 5-2 I felt confident I could still take her. So we locked arms, I pushed with all I had. Her hand went down only slightly, I stared at our interlocked hands, I thought "Wow, she is pretty strong. We're pretty evenly matched". I looked back up at her face and again, that grin, she was almost laughing. I felt my arm now being pushed further down no matter how hard I stuggled until "thump", I was down and out. Sara had won. I congratulated her and handed the muffin over, massaging my hand in painful silence. After a minute of gathering my thoughts, I was actually turned on by what she had just done and looked forward to more.

Now she really had to go, we said our goodbyes out front and she started to walk away. Then spun around and made sure I was ok getting to my car!!  "I'll be fine", "You don't have to rub it in!!". "Just checking" she said. "Oh yea, since we're going to a baseball game. You have to do something I enjoy and am into". Sounded fair enough, "So what are we doing?" Sara grinned again, "A sport I participate in", she hadn't mentioned any sports during our conversation, so I guessed "Tennis, golf, professional bowler", "No, no and no again!! I'm a bodybuilder and compete in contests!!". "Now I know why you won in armwrestling" I said. "I think it's great what you have that kind of dedication and would love to come to a show", Sara smiled with that "Oh good!!", we talked for a few more minutes about her contests and now I was dying to see her "more revealed". I asked "Can I see you flex your arm", "Later.." she said....to be continued
