WORK EXPERIENCE

UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, DAVIS-MONTHAN AFB, AZ 2001 - PRESENT
AIRMAN FIRST CLASS

Career in the United States Air Force, David Monthan AFB, AZ, Air Combat Command, 355th Maintenance Group, Armament Flight. Armament technician on the A-10 tank killer aircraft. Replenished the combat capability of the Armed Forces A-10 being a highly trained, disciplined and mission capable graduate in maintenance using my aircrew specialty. Infused lifetime values and war-fighting skills for my global customers. Worked in aircraft maintenance for my country during the post September 11, 2001 war against terrorism. Loaded weapons like the 30mm bullets and the gravity and smart bombs. Drove the bomb lift truck. Loads and unloads nuclear and non-nuclear munitions, explosives, and propellant devices on aircraft. Manages, controls, maintains, and installs aircraft bomb, rocket, and missile release, launch, suspension, and monitor systems; guns and gun mounts; and related munitions handing, loading, and test equipment. The armament flight consists of three sections: maintenance, support, and alternate mission equipment. Assigned personnel are responsible for the inspection and maintenance of all assigned A-10A aircraft armament weapons system components. This includes the awesome GAU-8/A 30-millimeter Gatlin gun, aircraft pylons, bomb racks, and missile launchers. The maintenance section is divided into three Combat Armament Support Teams (CAST). Each CAST provides exclusive support to the flying squadron with which they are aligned. In addition, I provided mobility support to the 354th Fighter Squadron with 10 mobility positions and maintain millions of dollars worth of equipment in deployable ready status to meet any mobility deployment tasking.
