Carpe Diem

" Carpe Diem "!!! Those, really, are two magic words, they are two pretty, wonderful words!!! Coming of Latin, Carpe Diem means nothing else than to enjoy the day, to live the present. I remember albeit, from when I heard those words for the first time, them never more they had left my thoughts, and I believe that, later of that magnificent meaning, they don't leave its head, dear friend philosopher. It was for cause of that beautiful meaning that our philosophy group calls himself Carpe Diem. Now, which I believe to be more important to highlight is the person that passed to me and my colleagues all the beauty of those words. Who presented us such a pearl of Latin it went to our teacher of Portuguese and Literature, the dear teacher Sílvia Pinheiro, of the School of the Foundation of Teaching of Mococa, while we studied Arcadism, that went a slope of to world Literature that it appeared in Europe during the centuries XVII and XVIII, and that was brought to Brazil in the century XVIII. Well then, while we studied Arcadism, we also studied Horacius, that lived between 68 a.C and 8 B.C., that it was one of the largest illustrations of the thought Arcade, and, Horacius also nailed Carpe Diem. I remember well with that emphasis and I animate Silvia it explained to us what was carpe diem! I remember that she said to us, students of the class that you/they were there presents, for we live the present, for we live the moment, for we live every moment, for we take advantage of every moment of our lives, because the time passes fast and it is impossible to do it to go back. She said those words with so much conviction that animated us a lot and it marked us in a deep way and, today, our philosophy group calls himself nothing else than Carpe Diem, because, us, integral of the group, we looked for the philosophy, the love to the wisdom, to live more and more every moment of our lives, for we take advantage of to the maximum every day, every hour, every second of our lives! Because it is that that we want to reach and we are reaching with our group, we want to live our lives in the possible most beautiful way!!! LIKE THIS BEING, CARPE DIEM TO YOU, DEAR FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
