Ma Baker's Tonic

The Finley Amateur Dramatic and Musical Society celebrated yet another successful season, with all four performance dates of their production of 'Ma Baker's Tonic' fully sold out.

The show was held at the Finley School of Arts Hall, with tickets costing $25, which covered the performance and a two course meal prepared by members of the Finley Football Club.

The play had the audience, and cast alike, in fits of laughter as they embarked on an illicit trail of gambling, goils and liquor, during the prohibition era of the 1920's.

The cast and crew of this year's production of 'Ma Baker's Tonic' were overwhelmed by the audience response and thank the public for their support.

To those who missed out on a ticket, FADAMS apologises, but they only had limited seating...and it just goes to show, you had better book earlier next time!

Ma Baker's Tonic

was performed by the Finley Amateur Dramatic and Musical Society at the

Finley School of Arts Hall on 24th, 25th & 31st May and 1st June 2002.

Ma Baker's Tonic was set in a sophisticated nightclub during the prohibition era of the roaring twenties.

The glamorous nightclub people (including the worldly Nick and the unworldly Irma) joined forces with Ma Baker against the dedicated ladies of the Purity League and the even more dedicated Rafia Gang !

A lot happened in the nightclub and it was all fun for the actors and the audience.

This show's had the lot - glitter, gags, goils and gangsters !
