Aching Heart
by Barbara Philbrook

I have an aching heart and it is causing me such distress,
I have this feeling of inadequacy and uselessness.

In a desire to be a servant to my fellow man,
I seek out prayer requests and pray for all I can.

My distress is for the bickering and unhappiness amongst members of the lists,
a place where one would expect peacefulness to exist.

Why when we gather to offer others up in prayer,
is there such a sense of dissension present there?

Help us Father to have the correct priorities,
and to remember our intention is other's needs.

Give me the intelligence to know what to do,
and to hold all who desire prayers up before You.

Please allow to register only what You want me to see,
as I diligently seek dear Father to serve Thee.
