A new ache in my heart, I didn't know there were so many different kinds,
but this ache is due to thankfulness, so I don't mind.

There are many aches we can feel in our heart,
physical and emotional are the ones in which I'd taken part.

A new ache has started in my heart today,
the ache of thankfulness and I want it to stay.

Oh it's an ache, that's for sure,
but I've never known this kind of ache before.

It's always given me so much pleasure to do something for others.
I just love doing things for my sisters and brothers.

I love doing absolutely anything I can,
for all creatures especially for my fellow man.

I of course have had others do things for me,
and I of course am as thankful as one can be.

But I've been blessed today in a special way,
and been told to put my thanks away.

A new ache in my heart is what I feel,
because my thanks aren't needed even though you know they are real.
