A Plan
by Barbara Philbrook

I've often had a plan as to how my day should go,
but whether or not I'll follow it I never know.

Sometimes a little thing changes my plan,
sometimes my fault or that of another man.

Sometimes it's an unforeseen act,
sometimes it's caused by an unknown fact.

Some people get upset if their plans change,
the span of their reaction in a wide range.

Just because things change a bit,
is no reason for us to have a mental fit.

Changes in our plan can be beneficial to us,
so accept the changes without any fuss.

Our loving Father has His great master plan,
and He keeps us on track any way that He can.

So if our plan and His do not agree,
then a change in our plans there will definitely be.

His way is what I would choose if I knew,
and I have the feeling so would you.

So the next time our plan is changed unexpectedly,
let's thank God for taking care of us so perfectly.

A plan for our lives and what we are to be,
a plan that will bring us home to Him for eternity.
