A precious new life has begun today,
Lord we Thank You for listening as we pray.

We graciously and thankfully accept this child's birth,
and hold her life in such great worth.

We want to give You all of the honor and praise,
and will teach her of Your love throughout Her days.

We'll tell her of our prayer in desperation,
and of awaiting her birth with great expectation.

We'll tell her how You heard our plea,
and sent her to be our child so lovingly.

We'll share with her the salvation story,
and how Jesus desires we live with You in Glory.

We'll teach her how each of us must make a choice,
and how we must say it with our own voice.

We'll guide her daily to seek, to find
the truths in the word that prove You are so loving and kind.

We'll live our lives as an example of what surrendering can do,
in hopes dear Lord she will surrender to You.

Thank You for entrusting us with this precious child,
now help us we pray to raise her safe and undefiled.
