Thank You Father for a protecting hand,
which we receive when we accept the salvation plan.

Thank You for watching over us night and day,
and keeping us protected in a special way.

We sometimes do things we shouldn't on our own,
and it's by Your grace we're protected it's known.

Sometimes we get only a bruise or two,
when we could have been hurt seriously if it weren't for You.

Thank You for watching and giving us a protecting hand.
I know all of this was long ago planned.

You knew we'd need to be watched over carefully,
and You do it so kind and lovingly.

A protecting hand to keep us safe and well,
and more important to keep us from the gates of hell.
