Ask Not
by Barbara Philbrook

Ask not for earthly riches or fame,
ask instead how to bring honor and glory to God's name.

Seek not to make others admire you,
seek instead to find others who have need of something you can do.

Ask not to have your load lightened for you,
ask instead for the strength to carry you through.

Try to find souls who have not found the way,
then offer to introduce them to your Savior today.

Ask not why we go through the things we do,
instead be willing to learn  the lessons God has for you.

Look not for Jesus to come for us today,
instead search for another who has not found the way.

Ask not  when will this life end so I may go home,
ask instead to be left until each soul has been shown.

After we share the truth with each and everyone,
Our Father will bring us home with the words "well done".
