A Talent to Use
by Barbara Philbrook

Everyone has a talent that they could use,
yet there are those who stubbornly refuse.

A talent that could rescue a floundering lost soul,
one to bring them in from the cold.

A talent I provided to rescue another,
a friend or stranger who would become a brother.

Imagine you were floundering around helplessly,
and another's talent could rescue thee.

But they held back not willing to share,
would you want to be left alone out there?

There are souls waiting to be rescued by you,
there may not be another can do what you do.

Use your talent use it well,
you may be someone's lifeline from Hell.

Every time you put your talent to use,
I make your abilities even more profuse.

So dig out that talent you buried away,
put it to use rescuing lost souls today.

I am responsible for how many you will save,
but it can't begin till you use the talents I gave.

If you want to see that talent increase in a miraculous way,
you start using it for others today.

No man is an island unto himself,
your talents were not intended to be hid on a shelf.
