A Tale to Tell
by Barbara Philbrook

A tale to tell over all the land,
of a loving Savior and The Salvation Plan.

A King left His kingdom and His throne,
to pay what could be paid by Him alone.

He was born on a cold winter's night,
in a stable under a star so bright.

An announcement by the angels was made,
to tell the shepherds where He laid.

They traveled to the stable so they could see,
the child who came to  save you and me.

The wise men brought myrrh frankincense and gold,
then avoided Herod as they were told.

The child grew and became a sinless man,
as was laid out in the salvation plan.

Studying and feeding on God's Holy word,
so He could defeat Satan when temptation occurred.

Giving love and helping everyone He met,
knowing the worst was to come yet.

He taught His disciples to do the same,
giving and doing in His Holy name.

Finally He had to pay sin's deadly cost,
as they mockingly nailed Him to the cross.

Lowered and laid in a borrowed grave,
rising three days later our souls can now be saved.

We must each hear it and believe,
then eternal life is what we'll receive.

Each of us must make this choice on our own.
This is what God's Holy Bible has shown.

A tale to tell to one and all,
in hopes that they too on our Savior will call .
