A Trip
by Barbara Philbrook

A trip is what we are about to take,
I offer it to you Father for whatever difference it can make.

We'll be visiting loved ones and friends who aren't saved,
they've not accepted no matter how much I've raved.

I've talked until I'm blue in the face,
but they're still part of the world living it's hectic pace.

I've shared what you continually do for me,
but it seems the truth they still do not see.

Father I know it's Your will that not even one be lost,
and You provided salvation at a great cost.

I am unable to make another's decision,
and am saddened when I encounter mockery and derision.

I know it is only for me to sow the seed,
You encourage it to grow and provide it's every need.

In exodus 4:12 you promise to provide the words I should say,
Lord help me to prepare myself as we are on our way.

May I receive all that you are willing to give,
that through my surrendering others may desire to live.

A trip to see those who are special to me,
but more important Father that they find Thee.
