There are some people who have a check list of all of the things they should say or do,
they are running through it constantly trying to Measure Up in God's view.

I'm so grateful to have a Savior who takes care of all of that from inside,
as a matter of fact that is what regulates my pride.

There is no way I could measure up to even the most minor point on God's great list,
so I just surrender daily and in no way do I resist.

Each day I offer my self to serve Him in every way,
I do this each morning as I kneel to pray.

The thoughts I think and the deeds I do,
the words I speak and the things I choose to view.

I am not capable of even one good deed,
but by surrendering to God we together can succeed.

I am so grateful that I need no list to gaze upon,
for it would discourage me and make my life appear forlorn.

It would take my eyes for a time off of my loving Savior,
and in so doing effect my behavior.

No there is no list that would be too depressing,
I just exercise my faith and know that Jesus and I are progressing.

Thank You Heavenly Father for allowing me to know,
that it is not on my strength alone on which I am allowed to grow.
