5ive at Chalice Well chapter 2

LONDON

Charlice had said she was from Glastonbury, but she lived in London, Rich saw. A normal detached house in a normal street. It looked normal, not like there was witch-practice in it or something he thought with relief. Then he called himself to order. Of course it wasn’t, as if Charlice was a witch! Though a sudden shiver crept up at him as he rang the doorbell.
Charlice opened the door. She wore blue jeans and a white shirt. Now he saw she as a tall, blond woman with green eyes. A green – eyed witch, he thought. Her voice was deep and warm, but not as powerfull as the darkwoman’s. She asked him to sit down. She had normal furniture, like everyone else he knew.
“ Well, first of all I should tell you my name isn’t Charlice, but Rowena. In many lives we have stood before eachother, Gwydion.” She said. The name she used woke a far memory in him but he could not definate it. Then she shook her head. “Let’s start at the beginning. Once, this world as we know it was not only material, but there also was another world, the Inner Plane. This world is just as real as the one you know. Back then, the Magic went together with the physics of the material world. But the people turned their backs at it, because it are all Mysteries, that not every mortal can understand. But you are one that can, because you have the Sight to see the Unseen. In your lives before this, you set feet upon the Path already, and you shall again.
The fact that you were in Glastonbury, a holy place were the Two Worlds touch made you see the spirits from the Inner Plane. The dark woman was related to you in former lives. But she has not, as you, come to life again, because she isn’t dead yet. She was High Priestess of the Tor, guide on the Path. She has callen on to you again.
Then, what you saw at chalice well, wasn’t real. It was your own mind, trying to convince you not to listen to Her. But when She calls you, there’s nowhere to hide. Maybe this time is really the moment. We’ve waited for the longest time, Gwydion.” He was silent after what she told him, though he had many questions. Then she sat on her knees before him and placed her right ringfinger on the place between his eyebrows.” Here the Magic is concentrated” she said mysteriously and breathed softly on it.
A dazzling light turned around before his eyes and for a moment he couldn’t see straight. Then it disappeared and he saw Glastonbury Tor, but it was different than before. Big stones in a perfect circle stood there, but they were damaged. Then he saw himself. A tall blond man with blue eyes, but his wrists were tattood with blue dragons. He was hurt, dying. But nevertheless he stood singing in a triangle with a little fairy-like woman, his wife, and an elder woman. The face of the fairy-like woman seemed so familiar, and he knew:I love her in all my lives as sister, mother, lover; she’ll always be.
The hymne they sang got up in the air and swallowed everything. His wife looked at him with eyes full of tears and said:” Why did you go? I’m your home, your heart.” Then the vision was gone.

Rich couldn’t remember anything of getting out and walking home. He didn’t know what to do with what Charlice, or, rather, Rowena told him. It was so confusing. He never believed in reďncarnation and stuff, but this all seemed so terribly real. Had he really the Sight? He didn’t even exactly know what that was. And he couldn’t talk to anyone about it, he could hardly believe it himself.
Behind his desk he suddenly got inspiration and wrote a song, “ Courage” .But he put it away in his desk. The world wasn’t ready for this. Yet.

The dark haired, fairy-like woman by the name of Morgan Chatterley smiled satisfied. “300 years” she said, “ I had to wait for him. But now he’s here and I won’t let him go again. I shall bring the world back to the Path.”

Charlice, or Rowena, made her hands to fists. She had used her again, as so many times before. “Await mother” she said bitter, “I won’t let go THAT easily.”
