Chapter 3

The next days Rich had a recurring dream in which he could see Morgan. He knew she had been his wife in a former life but the feeling he got seeing her was not love, but fear. In his dream he saw himself lying sick in bed and Morgan standing beside him smiling, satisfied with the spell she put on him, the murder. He also knew she bore the child he never was to see because his life ended too soon. But then when the last moment came, he was stronger than her and the Light he turned to in the very last minute was more bright than the sun and more lovely than the moon and he would wake up smiling. Rich understood Rowena had been right saying it was impossible to turn your back on the Path when it had callen on to you. It seemed that everywhere he looked the Path lay. There was nothing else to do than to listen and to do what was told him. He would do everything to get the feeling again he got seeing the Light.

One moon-lit night, it was full moon, he received a dream. A woman stood before him, surrounded by the Light. She looked exactly like Morgan but nevertheless she was completely different because she was a caring person, not so cold as ice as Morgan was. It was the woman he had seen in his vision with Rowena. “Gwydion,” she spoke with her lovely voice. “Do you finally remember me? I am the one of the past, the now and the future. We have loved and will love again. The world will be lit by the Light again, but you have to set me free by believing in me. You’ll have to put your fear aside and make sure Morgan will accept her fate and give up her life before destroying anymore. She has gone insane.”
“I’ll try,” whispered Rich, “but how can I kill the woman who’s the mother of my child who I never may see? I would do enough, but not even for you I would kill, I swear..”
The woman smiled. “You may not swear anything you can’t make true Gwydion. You will, I am sure. Don’t forget she is the one who parted us and who has killed you before. And remember, the sake of the Path is more important than your personal feelings.”

And she was gone again. Rich frowned to himself. “would I kill for the Light?” he asked himself. He thought of her last words.” Well, what must be done must be done. I must visit Morgan and make her accept fate or my life will never be the same again and I will be forever parted of my love.” He smiled. No matter what, he WOULD see his love again. Not in this life, than another.
