WILL GO DOWN IN RANGER HISTORY FOR:
*Going straight!
In the finals, Neil was at deep mid off, when the batsmen hit one over the bowlers head. Neil countered by announcing that he was "going straight", to stop the next shot. Unfortunately, Tyrone heard this and a Ranger Tale was born.
*Neils and Bazzas sledging against each other were pure enjoyment.
I have played Cricket with Neil for the past 2 seasons I have found him to be a player that is always ready to listen and to take steps to try to improve his game. As an attacking left handed batsman (the only one on our team) on two separate occasions once while batting with him and the second while umpiring, I have seen him dominate attacks with the bat with what only can be described as a flat bat slog/pull shot. Always keen to talk about cricket he has some very firm beliefs about how cricket should be played and he puts those thoughts into action.

As a bowler Neil is a developing leg spinner which is the hardest of all the bowling arts. (I do enjoy though smashing him back over his head and I would guess that he enjoys the same) Unfortunately hampered by a shoulder injury towards the end of the season and some unresponsive pitches Neil didnt have the opportunity to fully show this side of his talent as much as I am sure he would have liked. He may have because the strong bowling attack we had this season. On any other team he would be a front line bowler. All the best Neil remember move across to off stump not away to leg
