F8F-1 Bearcat.

On the 15th of November 1946 VBF-3 transitioned to the Grumman F8F-1 "BEARCATS" and the squadron was redesignated as VF-4A. Later the Crazy Cats of VF-4A was redesignated as Fighter Squadron Thirty Two on August 7th, 1948, the designation that the squadron still bears today.
