"EARLY TO BED, EARLY TO RISE, MAKES A MAN HEALTHY, WEALTHY AND WISE."  THIS OLD SAYING IS STILL TRUE TODAY, BUT THE WAY SOCIETY WORKS TODAY, ESPECIALLY FOR SHIFT WORKERS (ESPECIALLY MOMS WHO WORK OUTSIDE THE HOME), THERE IS AN EPIDEMIC OF INSOMNIA OUT THERE, AND HEALTH PROBLEMS FROM SLEEP DEPRIVATION.
UNTIL SOCIETY AND BUSINESSES CHANGE THEIR WAYS OF DOING THINGS TO BE BETTER FOR WORKERS TO GET A DECENT NIGHT'S SLEEP AND HAVE BETTER HEALTH, I OFFER SOME OLD-FASHIONED, "TRIED-AND-TRUE" THINGS TO TRY
THE OLD-FASHIONED HOT BUBBLE-BATH, OR A BATH WITH AROMATHERAPY OILS OR MINERAL SALTS BEFORE BEDTIME IS ALWAYS GOOD!
BABIES RELAX AND SLEEP BETTER TOO WITH A GOOD WARM BATH!
DO NOT DRINK COFFEE OR OTHER CAFFEINATED BEVERAGES CLOSE TO BEDTIME!
KIDS KNOW INSTINCTIVELY THAT EXERCISE BEFORE BEDTIME IS CONDUCIVE TO SLEEP, SO TAKE A TIP FROM YOUR KIDS, AND GET SOME FORM OF EXERCISE BEFORE BEDTIME.
A WARM GLASS OF MILK AT BEDTIME CAN SETTLE YOUR STOMACH, AND RELAX YOU TO SLEEP.  IF YOU ARE LACTOSE INTOLERANT, TRY A GLASS OF "KEFIR" CULTURED MILK AT BEDTIME - (IT'S LIKE A YOGURT MILKSHAKE OR SMOOTHIE, ONLY BETTER!)KEFIR IS USUSALLY WELL TOLERATED BY PEOPLE WHO ARE LACTOSE INTOLERANT (I AM LACTOSE INTOLERANT AND I DO FINE WITH KEFIR)AND KEFIR DOES INDEED GIVE YOU A GOOD, RELAXED NIGHT'S SLEEP!
