Designed for use exclusively by the Special Security Group, the Model 07 is a redesign of the HK77UK carbine. The weapon fires the same 9 x 7mm caseless ammunition with the same 45 round ammunition clip. However, internally, the Model 07 is totally different. The weapon is highly compact and efficient and lighter than it's commercial sister. Through the use of advanced alloys, and other weight reducing measures, it is one of the most lightest rifles in the world. It has a collapsible stock mounting an autostabilization stock, with a shock pad for added recoil reduction, as well as a forward handgrip to increase stability when firing. The barrel itself mounts a barrel mounted sound suppressor. The scope handle is equipped for COT, and mounts a COT-3 scope as standard. The handle can also mount another sighting accessory to enhance it's accuracy. It also features integral Smartlink II combined with a rangefinder for increased accuracy. The collapsing stock features an autostabilization stock, as well as shock pads mounted on the butt to provide efficient recoil compensation.
Like the HK77UK, the Model 07 can mount the MiGL for additional firepower, and issued among the various Sections. They also offer clip holders using the TAG FireForce II system, with a specialized holder that holds two clips. Dissasembling the weapon for cleaning is also easy, with the weapon designed to be. The Rotating Breech system, despite it's complexity, is also easy to clean. A maintenance kit is installed in the butt of the rifle that has the proper tools to clean it. Additional kits cost 50¥ and weigh .2 kilgrams (weight for the weapon includes this). An instructional chip is also included with the weapon. The weapon is only issued to Section FOUR and Section FIVE combat Platoons.

The HK77UKSG mounts a barrel mounted sound suppressor. The collapsing stock mounts an auto-stock that offers 1 point of recoil compensation, as well as the butt mounted shock pads offering 2 points. The forward handgrip when used, offers 1 point of compensation. It mounts COT, Smartlink II, and a rangefinder.
