Disappointment Me

Everything I'll ever do, will only disappoint you
I could be rich and famous, what would it mean to you?
I could be happily married, with a family of my own
But you'd just roll your eyes and groan
At what a failure I've been, and always will be
No matter what I do, only the bad will you see
From your lips, will I never hear praise
I'll be compared to others, always
You'll never see the good in me
Only what I couldn't be
I've learned to live with it
Just another cut on the wrist everyone likes to slit
Sending me to an early grave
To you, I'm just another slave
Trying to make it on my own
My words are everywhere, yet my face is unknown
Maybe I'll just stay this way
No matter what you say
