The 2000 AAUW Pre-Convention Symposium will highlight AAUW's participation in the WomanWise Alliance. Titled "Life after 50: Will it be the BEST, or the REST of your life?" the Symposium will emphasize the mission of the Alliance: to promote healthy changes for women over fifty.

Friday's Symposium will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. Registration will start at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $25.00 which includes lunch. The program will include an overview of women's health, nutrition for a healthy life, and fun and fitness after fifty. Plans include qualified speakers on each topic, lunch in a banquet room with a speaker, and afternoon discussion sessions. Whatever your age, you are certain to find this year's Symposium entertaining, educational, and action oriented.

The WomanWise Alliance is a non-profit, public education network of women's organiztions, health advocacy groups, professional organizations and others committed to women's health after menopause. The Alliance is concerned about the physical and mental health of the whole woman. It exists to ensure all postmenopausal women access to quality health care and information. AAUW is represented on the Alliance by Sally Lewis, Sandi Chamberlin, Jean Harden, and Helen Zientek. Jean and Helen serve on the Steering Committee.
