Chicken -N- Dumplings

2 lbs. cubed boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 c. chopped celery with leaves
1 carrot stick sliced about 1/2 c.
1 small onion
1 sprig of parsley
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cube or tsp. chicken buillon

Add all ingredients to pot add just enough water to cover.  Bring to a boil and reduce heat.  Cover and simmer about 2 1/2-3 1/3 hours.


                           Dumplings

3 tbls. shortning                                  1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp baking pwder                              3/4 tsp salt
3/4 c. milk
Mix dry ingredients cut in shortning until mixture looks like dry crubs.  Stir in milk.  Drop dough onto meat, vegatables, etc.   Let cook about 1 min.

Serve hot.
