Props

For all you Virgins out there. To get the full effect of the RHS you need to join in. Below is some of the props you will need. You may see other conventionalists with additional props, DO NOT WORRY, many people pick up on small incidental points, they are normally easy to spot.... they are the ones with the large carry-alls!!!!

Rice At the beginning of the film is the wedding of Ralph Hapschatt and Betty Munroe. As the newlyweds exit the church, you should throw the rice along with the on-screen wedding guests.

Bouquet Also to be thrown during the wedding scene.

Air Pump To be used when the narrator appears on screen, to pump up his neck.

Newspaper When Brad and Janet are caught in the storm, Janet covers her head with a newspaper. At this point, you should also cover your head.

Water Pistols These are used by the members of the audience to simulate the rainstorm that Brad and Janet are caught in. (And, if you didn't use the newspaper, this is when you'll understand why you should have...)

Flashlight, Candles or Lighters During the "There's a Light" verse of "Over at the Frankenstein Place", to be used as the light from the castle.

Rubber Gloves During and after the creation speech, Frank snaps his rubber gloves three times. Later, Magenta pulls these gloves off his hands. The gloves should be smacked in time with Frank-N-Furter during this sequence.

Noisemakers At the end of the creation speech, the Transylvanians respond with applause and noisemakers. You should do the same.

Confetti At the end of the "Charles Atlas Song" reprise, the Transylvanians throw confetti as Rocky and Frank head toward the bedroom. You should do the same.

Toilet Paper When Dr. Scott enters the lab, Brad cries out "Great Scott!". At this point, you should throw rolls of toilet paper into the air. (Preferably Scotts, of course).

Toast When Frank proposes a toast at dinner, throw toast into the air.

Hot Dogs and Prunes When these food products are mentioned in the film, they often get thrown at the screen. Not to be done at home if you don't want to attract ants...

Bell During the song "Planet Schmanet", ring the bell when Frank sings "Did you hear a bell ring?"

Cards During the song, "I'm Going Home" Frank sings "Cards for sorrow, cards for pain," and everyone throws cards in the air.
