FRED SADGE

Hi, I'm Fred Sadge.

My two passions are music (composing and playing) and art.

Currently I am working on completing my undergraduate degree. I am a member of EARLY FALL, a cover band based in NEPA (Northeastern Pennsyvania).

EARLY FALL members Tommy Wilbur on bass, Barrett Glodzik (guitar) and Justin Jacek (guitar and vocals) and Josh Jacek (drums) and myself on vocals.

You can view a video of Early Fall's cover of "Road House Blues" by The Doors on YOUTUBE.com by clicking HERE - Part 1 AND and Part 2

Since debuting at Joe Shag's in Pittston, PA in early February 2007 we have gathered a following and are happy to announce that we plan on returning to the popular night spot in about a month.

From early 2002 thru 2003 I performed background vocals, rhythym guitar, and symthesizer for Electrie Candy Shop, a very popular original-music band based in NEPA. ECS's latest CD, entitled Symphony on Saturn, features three of my original compositions: Nebula, Furniture of the Mind, and Shadow of the Cross. All of the songs on the CD are great, and I'm proud to have been an integral part of the band.

In order to devote more time to creating my own music and completing my college education, I made the difficult decision to leave the band in October 2003. The guys and the band were great, but there isn't enough time to do everything well. I wish the very best for the remaining members of the band.

My goal is to compose music for movies. I spend a lot of time now writing and recording music.

The musician who has influenced me most is Ken Andrews. Been listening to his music, including Failure, since grade school.

One of my dreams has always been to meet Ken Andrews in person. If you read below, you'll see that that dream became a reality recently!

Meeting Ken Andrews....

fred sadge on synthesizer On Sunday, August 10th, I finally met my musical idol, KEN ANDREWS (of Year of the Rabbit)!

Ken Andrews is the reason I became a musician in the first place. After hearing one of his CDs when I was a pre-teen, I picked up a guitar I'd had for a few years (and hardly ever touched) and sat down and taught myself how to play some of Failure's songs. From the guitar I went on to the synthesizer. And I haven't stopped playing since.

Ken and his band, Year of the Rabbit, performed in Philadelphia, PA recently. I attended with a group of friends. The two hour drive to Philly was well worth it. Ken Andrews and his band were great, and after the show I got to meet Ken, give him a copy of Electric Candy Shop's latest CD, Symphony on Saturn, speak briefly with him, and get his autograph on the back of a Dentyne Ice gum pack...the only piece of paper I had with me.

Thanks, Ken and band members, for a memorable concert and a memorable moment.

KEN ANDREWS
