Free Internet Access
Free Internet Access
There are a couple things you should be aware of before canceling your current Internet service provider    and switching to either of these.
There are a couple Internet companies who offer free Internet access, two to be exact.   You know the saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. :-)
The first company is Juno. The catch is there is a small advertisement window that is on your screen while you are connected to the Internet.   You can move it around on your screen but you can not remove it.   If you have a big computer screen (15" or bigger) it is subtle. They even give you the choice of premium access for 9.95 a month with no banners, Free webmail and a choice of High speed Internet Access.
It is really totally "free", and it can save you $120 + a year. They have approximately 1,000 access numbers spread across the US and most of Canada.
The second company is NetZero. They have 10 free hours a month with banner ads then give you the option to stop surfing until next month or pay $19.95, they also give you the choice of premium access for 9.95 a month with no banners and free pop mail.
You can dock the ad window at the top or bottom of your screen, but not remove the ad window. The blockage is about 10 percent of your monitor screen.  They have approximately 700 access numbers.
There are some more free Internet access providers I need to tell you about.   Many of my readers have tried them and written in to tell me about it.   You will need to check each one out carefully before canceling your current ISP.   Here are some other free Internet providers:
http://www.address.com/ requires that your subscribe to an Advertisement and pay it's fee ever month (Meaning in my words not really free)
http://www.internet4free.net also requires  that your subscribe to an Advertisement and pay it's fee ever month  (Meaning in my words also not really free)
I recommend you first set up one or two of these free (Juno or NetZero) services and then observe
how often you get disconnected,
how often you get busy signals when trying to connect at your usual times
whether you can tolerate the ad window
and any other potential glitches
If everything works with your Internet needs, then cancel your current service provider and start saving $10 - 25 per month.
Let me know if you do try out any of these services.   I'd like to hear your   feedback.
