BURIAL: W. I. Singletary

BURIAL:   William I. Singletary, 94, of Vowells Mill, died Monday, Dec.
27, in a DeRidder hospital.

BURIAL:   Funeral services were held in the Cedron Baptist Church in
Vowells Mill, at 2 p.m., Dec. 29.

BURIAL:   Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of First
National Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Survivors are three
daughters, Mrs. W. B. Dew of Zwolle, Mrs. O. Z. Cooper of Newton,
Tex., Mrs. B. R. Pearson of Humbolt, Tenn.; one son, Loyd
Singletary of DeRidder; one sister, Miss Ada Singletary of
Vowells Mill; one brother, Asa Singletary of Vowells Mill; 17
grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

26 Oct 1951 - Last rites for David A. Rhodes, 77, who expired at a Shreveport hospital 8:15 a.m. Sunday, were conducted 3 p.m. Monday at Fort Jesup Baptist church by Rev. Earl Miers. Interment was under direction Warren funeral home.

Pallbearers were: Clifton Rhodes, Lewis Rhodes, Earl Rhodes, Harvey Rhodes, Carrol Rhodes and Creed Lester.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Mrs. David A. Rhodes, Fort Jesup; sons, Arthur Rhodes, Many, Louie Rhodes, New Orleans, Cecil Rhodes, Shreveport, Otis Rhodes, Natchitoches , Hollis Rhodes, Shreveport, Roy Rhodes, Houston, Texas, Ray Rhodes, Los Angeles, calif.; daughters, Mrs. J. H. Horman, Marked Tree, Ark., Mrs. R. B. Russell, Shreveport; 34 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

BURIAL: Mrs. Della Rhodes, 86, died in Shreveport, Sept. 5, after an extended illness.

BURIAL: Mrs. Rhodes is survived by four sons, Ottis Rhodes of Shreveport, Roy Rhodes of Houston, Tex., Ray  Rhodes of Whittier Calif., and Hollis Rhodes of Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Opal Russell of Shreveport; three stepsons, Levi Reese of Robeline, Cecil Rhodes of Shreveport, and Arthur Rhodes of Orange, Tex.; a step daughter, Mrs. J. H. Hortman of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 46 grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren.

BURIAL: Funeral services were held at the Ft. Jesup Baptist Church, Sept. 7, with the Rev. Jerry Schmucker officiating.
Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
Pallbearers were the grandsons, Johnnie Rhodes, Elvin Rhodes, Harvey Rhodes, Elmer Reece, David Rhodes, and
Lewis Rhodes.
