LEESVILLE - Services for Nolan Rhodes will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in East Leesville Baptist Church, Leesville, with the Revs. Gil Arthur and Keith Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Red Rock Cemetery, Val Mills Community, under direction of Labby Memorial, Leesville.
Rhodes, 78, of Leesville, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, in Houston.
He owned and operated Rhodes Meat Market for 15 years. He was a member of East Leesville Baptist Church and a member of Bellwood Masonic Lodge #321, which he was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Scottish Rite and a member of the Good Sam's Club. He was secretary for V.F.D. of Dry Fork and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Rhodes of Leesville; one son, Larry Rhodes of Leesville; three daughters, Diane Hayes of Leesville, Debbie Deon of Anacoco and Susan Lemoine of Natchitoches; one brother, P.E. Rhodes of Boyce; one sister, Evelyn Stewart of Boyce; and 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 8 a.m. until time of services Wednesday in the church.

BURIAL: Mrs. Mary Jane Roberts

BURIAL:   Funeral services for Mary Jane Roberts were held at 2 p.m., on
Sunday, Sept. 29, in the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis, with the
Revs. Charles Bates, Troy Wheeler, and Joe Aulds officiating.
Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Bellwood.

BURIAL:   Mrs. Roberts, 97, of Bellwood, died Friday, Sept. 25, at 10:20
p.m., in the Natchitoches Parish long term care unit.

BURIAL:   Survivors include five sons, Curtis Roberts of Smithville, Tex.,
Chester Roberts of Pineville, Sherman Roberts of LeCompte,
Hershell Roberts of Baton Rouge, and Billy Roberts of
Natchitoches; three daughters, Jewel Evans of Baton Rouge,
Claudie Lucius of Shreveport, and Willie McGrath of Hurst, Tex.;
one brother, Oscar Sparks of Bellwood; 21 grandchildren; 22 great
grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

BURIAL:   Pallbearers included Mark McGrath, Glenn Roberts, Charles
Roberts, Michael Corbin, Jimmie Corbin, and Art Young. Honorary
pallbearers were Harold Alford, W. J. Alford, Clinton Sparks, and
Thurman Roberts.

The Sunday School here elected the following officers last Sunday: Superintendent, Mr. Monroe Roberts, Secretary, Mr. Tom Leach. The following were elected as teachers for this year; Mr. B.F.Gandy, Miss Della Montgomery, Miss Minda Honeycutt and Mr. Henry Leach.

Not dated: Mr. Monroe Roberts will move into his new residence this week. Mr. Reese, who has been helping him, has gone back to his home at Provencal.
