Play-in-a-Day is a chance for all writers and actors to get involved with
Freshblood Theatre. The idea is that anyone can take a title from our
suggestions list, or create their own, to produce a short sketch which will be
turned into a performance overnight. We hope to have the scripts prepared by the
meeting on Friday the 14th of January (12-2 in MR3) at which point all people
there will be given roles. Each group will then have just over 24hrs to rehearse
and prepare before the performances in the Graduate Club (show beginning at 4:30
on Saturday the 15th). All are welcome. Hope to see you there!

Freshblood Theatre gives students the opportunity to experience every aspect of drama production. We are the only society at Warwick University to promote student-written theatre, meaning that all of our plays are 100% original and come from you, the students! The society's unique function of promoting original material, combined with its reputation for friendliness and innovation, makes Freshblood a popular and prestigious drama group, the recipient of Warwick University's awards for Best New Society (1997), Most Improved Society (1999), and Most Active Society (2000). Freshblood stages two student-written plays per term, and also holds regular and ever-popular cabaret events giving an opportunity for every student to showcase their talent of acting, singing, songwriting, comedy, and much more! Freshblood utilises on- and off-campus locations; in recent months, events have been held in the Cooler and the Graduate Club, bars throughout Leamington, Warwick Arts Centre, the Community Arts Centre of Warwick, and even London. This year, we aim to present six plays and six cabaret events, and to take Freshblood to the Edinburgh Festival for the first time.
