About Us
Tom & I met in 1981, he was divorced & I was a young widow, my first husband was only 24 when he was killed in a car accident. Neither one of us were planning on meeting anyone. One day my cousin Sandy wanted me to go to the laundromat with her, so I went, not knowing she had it planned all along for us to meet! She had already known Tom & thought he was perfect for me. Well, I went with her & there he was, folding his clothes. She introduced us & we talked & seemed to hit it off. We went for coffee after, & as they say, the rest is history! We've been together ever since, we will be celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary Jan.9th.
In Oct. of 1998 Tom had to have a triple bypass, that was very scary for both of us, but especially him. They told us on a Thursday, but couldn't do the surgery until the following Monday, so they sent us home. I have to say, that was the longest weekend of our lives. The surgery went well & I'm happy to say, he's doing great! It was a long recovery, but we made it through. Thanks to God & prayer & my family who was there with us every single day, I wouldn't know what to do without them.
