Note...

When the band first started in 1968, nobody could imagine that they would become the most successful and popular Haitian band in history. In fact just one year after the band was founded, it was thought that the dream was over when founding members Herman and Albert moved abroad to countinue their education. An unexpected reunion in NY, however, gave the band a second chance. It didn't take long before they became Haiti's first real Superstars. In 1974, their hit single, "New York City," became the most sold konpa record in the world.

Tabou Combo has travelled over the world playing in sold out stadiums and concert halls. They have taken Konpa Music to places such as: Madagascar, Congo, France, Italy, Germany, England, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Japan, Columbia, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, Jaimaca, St Croix, St Marteen, St Lucy, Dominica, Ivory Coast, Panama, Curacao, The French Antilles, and beyond.
