  1. Travis ended the '98 year with a new career high in homeruns (28) and his first trip to the postseason.
  2. Started off miserably in '98, Travis has raised his average 100 points since the early parts of the season.
  3. Hit a game winning homer vs. his former 'mates of Detroit in the 10th inning in July.
  4. Travis was traded the day of the expansion draft Nov. 18 from the Detroit Tigers to the NL expansion team, Arizona Diamondbacks. Then on December 1, 1997 he was traded to the Cleveland Indians for Matt Williams.
  5. Travis hit a career tying high 22 home runs and had a personal best 102 rbi in 1997.
  6. Led major league 3rd basemen with a .978 fielding percentage in 97.

  4. First Tiger since Hoot Evers in 1950 to hit for the cycle, when he accomplished the feat vs. the Yankees on July 28th, 1993 going 5/5 with an extra double.
  5. Had 15 straight games with at least 2 hits in '93. (take that Tony Gwynn!)
  6. Led league in at-bats in '92 and '94 and also led league in strikeouts in '94.
  7. Only 7th Tiger to have 200 rbi before his 24th birthday.

  9. Only major leaguer to play every inning of every game in '95.
  10. Only Tiger since Al Kaline to have 3 seasons of 90+ rbi and 20+ home runs before their 25th birthday.
