I am Celia Georger Aslan...the one who spent our senior year on crutches...I have lost touch with everyone and could not believe it when I saw so many familiar names on the message board...I think of those days often and wonder where everyone is. I graduated from nursing school in Richmond Va then spent 5 years in Boston. It was on to the Virgin Islands where I became a vagabon, waited tables and traveled back and forth to Europe..where I finally met my Turkish husband. We now live in Charleston South Carolina and own a well known Mediterranean resturant. I am a Legal Nurse Consultant and work full time for an attorney. we have two young girls (8 and 11). I played soccer all 3 years and I hung out with the Tom and Chris Honan, Don Corrado, Pat Colton, Jim Crippen, Jim Freund, Sean Valis, Dan Limbaugh, Tom Arnold, Chris Hotard and most of the "Boeing Brats" I'm sure I left out a bunch. I just found this site the other day, and it sure brought back lots of great memories. The gallons (liters) of Lowenbrau consumed at Mergillina, the "gut", partying at the bar near Parco Cuomo and in Pinetamare. Anybody on the soccer team remember that night in Rome? The bar owner tried to rip us off and he wasn't to thrilled when we tried to walk off with the table!! DON ALONZO HERE. Parco Azzuro 1969-1974. Anything is possible. If you graduated in 1976 or lived in Parco, it's time to go to a reunion. Can you make the Dallas trip? Life is so short, you only know where your going if you know where you've been. Napoli. FSHS. MEMORIES. A connection to your "roots" and an opportunity to share, re-grow, and push ahead. I remember. If only I could turn back time and catch bus #3 or #4 home to Parco again, play baseball for the Naples All-Star team again, then go to Germany and WIN!, watch my father coach the Army/Airforce football team again, see an outdoor movie at NSA, Carney Park, or the beach. Walk to Edenlandia or take a bike ride down the hill to the Parco Azzuro pool. The memories are endless and I do remember the names and the places that forever etch a time in my life I miss and cherish. I urge those who read to please respond and commit to re-establish and reaquaint yourself with t! he past to share with those in the present. I remember Saturday evenings, hitchhiking (WERE WAS MY BRAIN?!)into AFSOUTH because the trains were on srike. Going to Carney Park for July 4th, and about every other weekend in general. I'm suprised so many of us live in Texas. We definately need to have the next reunion in Dallas. Her Name was Elaine Krause and she moved to Naples in Sept. 1973. She graduated in 1975. She had a younger sister named Audrey. Elaine and I kept in touch for about five years after she moved. She first went to college at NYSU Albany then transferred to a school in Mich. She was ROTC and went into the Navy I believe and went to a training school in Louisiana. Her family left Naples and went to Virginia Beach. I have long wished that we had kept in better touch and would greatly appreciate any help anyone could give me to reconnect with her.
