On Tuesday 24th April, Alan was the first student to attempt the Fudo Ken Ryu black belt 1st Dan grading. The grading consisted of Kata, Traditional Karate Combinations, Self Defence and Pad Work. After 90 mins of sheer determination and an impressive display of Self Defence, he passed. Aaron was also tanking a grading, his first one, on the same night, and from his first Kata to his last punch on the pad showed a level of skill and power that left the grading panel no other option but to grad him to green blet.
