Exhumed are back with a new slab of Gore Metal for us all to enjoy. Anatomy is Destiny picks up where Slaughter Cult left off in the evolution of Exhumed's songwritting and musicanship and is quite an improvement. For the first time ever, the band mixes in some melody to their usual gore/grind/hyper speed sound and it actually works for the better. We get to hear some quality melodic solos throught this record before getting hacked to pieces by the standard brutal riffs and blast beats. Notice I said HEAR. For once we can hear all the instruments with a even audio mix! Every guitar squeal, cymbal and grunt sounds crystal clear. Matt Harvey's "vokills" are as raw as ever and the lyrics are just what you would expect from the kings of Gore Metal. Recommended tracks are "Grotesqueries" "Nativity Obscene- A Nursey Chyme" and "A Song for the Dead." |
