Big Six - the Big Six are back with their best rockabilly album to date. After touring relentlessly for the past few years throughout America, they are at it again with a 2 month complete U.S. tour starting October 19, 1999 to support their new CD "Get Off It And Rock It". Like their previous records The Big Six combine all forms of rockabilly music to create their own unique identifiable Big Beat sound. This record is by far their best sounding to date, with the help of London's infamous Abbey Road studios! Some highlights are the Ska sounds of "Tears On My Pillow" and "Rocketship To The Moon" the wild straight Rockabilly of "C'mon And Dance With me" and "Hop On Baby", the Soul styling of "Everybody Groove" which showcases a brilliant undiscovered sound of the band, the Mambo madness of "Big Mambo" plus tons of Swingin' Rock N Roll, Jive and Boogie! What kind of band is the Big Six? What kind of music do they play? Are they a Swing band? Are they a Ska band? Are they a Rockabilly band? Are they a Dance band? All of these are tough questions, with no real definite answer. The Big Six are The Big Six, and they play their own style of rockabilly music period!
Rip Carson - Rip Carson formed his first rockabilly band at the age of eleven in West Virginia. He has been playing in bands since and he feels this is the best one yet. Rip Carson was influenced by his uncle who also played in a rockabilly band known as "Bill Sykes and the Rhythmeers." This early influence and the fact that he had been singing since he was born have helped form a band that is constantly on the rise in today's rockabilly scene.

For anyone that has seen the band play, they know that Rip Carson's stage presence is one of the wildest in history. Rip Carson accounts for this by saying "....man when I hear the music it makes me insane, it is the original devils music. It is just as savage and shocking as it was when it was first introduced". Even though rockabilly is supposed to be wild and rockin' Rip still gets censored every now and again, but nothing will stop this rockabilly powerhouse.
Du Valls - it seems like Carl Schrieber has been on the Chicago rockabilly scene forever. He started off as the guitar player for HI-FI and the Roadburners (but then again, didn't everybody). At this time there was another local Chicago rockabilly band called Daddy Long Legs, that featured Rockin' Billy on guitar, Rick Uppling on bass and Steve Uppling on drums. At some point the two bands swapped guitar players, with Rockin' Billy joining HI-FI and Carl joining Rick and Steve to form a new band that they called The Chasers.

The Chasers eventually split with Rick leaving to start the Three Blue Teardrops, and Steve going on the play for Rockin' Billy and HI-FI before starting American Dream. Carl started working with a drummer, Kevin ????, calling themselves the Pomade Playboys and started the search for a bass player that would eventually hook them up with Rod Blaze, and The DuValls were born.
