WILLIAM GEER born Sussex, England 14/11/1822 Helped to migrate to South Africa in 1835 by the CHILDREN'S FRIEND SOCIETY. It is believed his first wife was CHRISTINA SYLVESTER who worked on the farm at Glen Avon where William was sent by the CFS. His second marriage was to ELIZABETH DAWSON FROST, a daughter of English settlers, on 01/08/1867. ELIZABETH born 16/09/1821 @ Uitenhage and lived to be 104. She is buried in Port Elizabeth, date to follow soon. According to 'OneWorldTree' courtesy Ancestry.com Elizabeth died in 1935 but that would have made her 114 not 104.
WILLIAM died @ Uitenhage, Cape of Good Hope 26/07/1882 (Ed': My wife's birthday...lol...no, not 1882.)
Issue: (Ed': There is some doubt as to whether Elizabeth was the mother of the following 3 issue as she would have been 46 when she married William. There is reason to believe the mother was CHRISTINA, William's 1st wife. Confirmation due soon).
