Why Poets Should Not Marry Non-Poets

Her Heart would Sing on seeing Art in him.
Oh, how she Loved him for His Poetry!
A Flame of Hope awoke within her Breast,
-- this Dreamer would give her her Peace and Rest.
He'd never thought he'd marry ("in this life"),
wearing him down, one day she was his wife.

When, over time, his victories stayed slim,
she dumped her dreams, embraced her fallacy.
But, now, instead of working on his book,
he fears her frown, her tight-lipped mocking look.
His words are few, his wife destroyed his muse.
When asked to wed, the poet should refuse.
