My mind and my body,
born one and the same,
chartered together,
sailed for same fame.
My body grew up
and scarred by life's whip,
unswayed by my efforts,
keels when I slip.
But my mind I control:
I know I am master,
I know I can steer it
while my body sinks faster.
Yet sooner or later,
somewhere on earth,
my mind and my body
united will berth.
