NORSE MYTHOLOGY, VIKING ROOTS
They were called the Vikings, and all that really meant, was "those that go away". They were a proud people - traders, farmers, warriors and clansmen. When they left in their longships (keels), they engaged in a number of activities: they traded; raided; fought as mercenaries; then after a few seasons they would return home and resume their roles as local aristcrats and farmers.
I am a descendant of these people, Norse blood flows through my veins. I am proud of my heritage, which is why this page is dedicated to my ancestors.
